TAS Style Menu – Redirect Module

The Redirect Module is used to redirect visitors to another URL.  This module isn’t often used, as the site has a redirection plugin that is very robust.  The redirection plugin allows redirecting to another page within the site; using REGEX patterns for the source or destination URLs, passing (or ignoring) URL parameters to the destination, and ignoring (or not) a trailing front-slash in the URL.  The main purpose of the redirect module is to push users to a completely different domain/site.  Given the negative user experience that often results from an action like this; its use is very limited.

Available options:

  • Module ID – Like all modules, this field is included optionally for CSS and hyperlink targeting.
    text
  • Target URL – The destination, to which the user will be sent.
    URL

The URL is the only required field (as the user must be redirected somewhere for the module to be used).  Because an example would not be visible, but would redirect the visitor to this page (you); the module is not added to this page.
