The National Taxpayer Advocate (NTA) submits two Congressional reports annually, including the Objectives Report in July where she commits to conduct many organizational level Objectives and Objectives. Each TAS function works objectives and activities related to their specialized knowledge. These actions help taxpayers comply with the tax laws, provide assistance to them if they encounter problems in meeting their tax liabilities, and better understand how and why TAS advocates for them with IRS leadership and Congress. We further refine the Objectives and tie them to our Strategic Goals and identify the activities we need to take to accomplish our objectives.
